Rambling Ways is a design I have been dreaming up for a while. I finally decided it was time to start pulling fabrics from my stash, deciding on a colour plan and having fun with applique. I would love you all to join me. the Rambling Ways quilt will have nine applique blocks, and at this stage a flying geese sashing. The outside border will be decided on after all the blocks are made. I will be making design decisions as I go along, and will encourage you to do the same as you are welcome to use the applique blocks in any layout you choose or use the same layout as I do. I have a basic plan for setting the blocks at this stage, as the quilt progresses I may make a few changes. I like to use my intuition as I progress through the quilt. While I am making the Rambling Ways quilt, my blog posts will have tutorials showing the techniques I use, talking about colour and fabric choices, making the circles, vines and applique techniques. Your first block pattern for the Rambling Ways Quilt Along will be available 15th October 2015
